We are the fifth generation of the family to farm here in Muchelney. Extensively farmed, small, mainly moorland, mixed farm with farm shop selling our own and other local produce. Solar panels produce some of our electricity and we make an effort to conserve and recycle water where possible. We also use vintage agricultural machinery, silage wrap etc., actively recycle, have minimised plastic-use, use no artificial fertilisers used on land and no routine antibiotics on animals.

Adult only, five star touring caravan park and campsite in South Somerset with holiday lodges available for hire.
We have three solar energy systems installed on site, which run our LED lighting around the park and our AI heating system. We have recently signed up for biogas fuel, using an introduction of plant energy. Our water is metered and we collect rainwater to water our plants, as well as requesting that our guests use excess water to assist with watering. We have switched all on-site lighting to LED bulbs and have installed new Dyson handdriers to decrease paper waste. We have switched to using an online booking system to decrease our paper and ink waste. We send out a welcome pack via email before our customers arrive, saving 6 sheets of printed paper per guest. We encourage recycling of all waste on site and use food waste as compost around the park, as well as grass cuttings and fallen leaves. Our Reception furniture is ethically sourced and uses recycled materials for bespoke furniture. Our Shower Block and Reception are lined and floored with recycled materials generated from waste plastic. All on-site taps and showers are push-taps to reduce water waste. We have built a range of animal, insect hotels and bird boxes using offcuts of wood from other projects around the park. We also work with local businesses including a farm shop, bakery and pub for deliveries of local food and drink on site.
